  • Scan for new disks:
     
    devfsadm -c disk
     
  • Cleanup any dangling /dev links and scan for new device:
     
    devfsadm -C -v
     
  • Dry-run - output what would be changed but make no modifications:
     
    devfsadm -C -v -n
